About Libra Woodwork Ltd
Our company started in 1978 by Norman Newbold with
four other partners. After five years they rented out
the adjoining building as business had grown. As things
progressed they had to rent another building to store
stock.
On Norm's retirement in 1992, we
amalgamated all and moved across the road to bigger
premises. As of September 2006, we are now a NZ Family owned business.
Damba Furniture Ltd were our first
customer and then Newline Upholsters, Interior Resources
Ltd. They are still with us and have been very loyal
customers.
We have supplied seating for places
like: - Hawkes Bay Opera House - Invercargill
Civic Theatre (through Metallion Ltd) - and Sydney
Conservatorium of Music (through Tritec
manufacturing)
We have also supplied some seating
to McDonalds through Cintesi.
Danske Mobler have
been with us for for years and we supply them with a
large quantity of frames.
We pride ourselves in
donating to Westpac Helicopter Trust for the last five
years, as well as to The Child Cancer Foundation and others.
We have been members of the Employers and
Manufacturers Association since 1984.
